Early in the morning, thin mist floating slowly,over the river enveloped the lake. A small boat sailed out in the mist and the fishermen skillfully cast a net into the lake. The mist began to spread, shrouding the forests on both banks.

 

 

Dongjiang Lake is located in Zixing City, Hunan Province, with a lake area of 160 square kilometers and water storage capacity of 8.12 billion cubic meters. The water quality has reached the national level drinking water standard. Because of its beautiful scenery, it is hailed as “Dongting Lake in southern Hunan, Switzerland in the East”. Among them, the 12-kilometer long Xiaodongjiang, enveloped by mist every year from April to November, like a jade belt floating in the canyon, can be a wonder.

 

 

 

The Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area covering a total area of 200 square kilometers encompasses featured landscapes such as rapids, canyons and islands. It integrates the beauty of mountains and waters, as well as the history and civilization.
